How long does it take to sell a house in the UK?

On average, a house takes just over one month to sell. Sometimes it can take longer than usual – there are many variables at play. However, on average, a house will take about 30-80 days to sell (less if you’re really lucky and have buyers beating down your door). There are no real strict rules of thumb for how long it should be taking though – because when it comes to property value no two transactions are the same. That’s why we always recommend for our clients that they do their research. This way they know what is realistic in their market and won’t get too disappointed if 90 days rolls round but there’s nothing happening!
