How to find a house in London

You need to establish your priorities and preferences. Some people want a view, which will mean higher rent. Others want good access to transport links. You’ll also need some idea of what you can afford in order to find the right property for you.

Some people prefer renting, as buying a house will come with responsibilities that might be really off-putting for certain individuals (e.g. deal with mortgages).

Property agents are often happy to play this matchmaker role.

Don’t be afraid to follow your gut. See if you like the area before even looking at individual homes. If there’s just one neighborhood that stands out, stick with it.
