To be a guarantor you have to be a UK homeowner.
We will need the following documentation from you:
Employed
1. Passport and Visa if applicable (you can scan a copy to us for now however we will need to see the original documents in the office on or 28 days before your tenancy start date)
2. Proof of address which is dated within 3 months of your tenancy start date (for example – a utility bill, doctor letter, pension or insurance letter).
3. Your most recent 3 months’ everyday bank statements (with everyday transactions such as salary, rent payments, shopping, food etc.)
4. Your most recent 3 months’ payslips.
5. Land Registry.
6. Employment Reference. You will need details of a contact who can confirm your position and salary – name and email address. You will also need to confirm how long you have been working for this company.
7. Credit Check
Self-Employed

2. Proof of address which is dated within 3 months of your tenancy start date (for example – a utility bill, doctor letter, pension or insurance letter).
3. Your most recent 6 months’ bank statements (with everyday transactions such as salary, rent payments, shopping, food etc.)
4. Your most recent 3 years tax returns
5. Land Registry.
6. Accountant Reference. You will need details of you accountant – name and email address.
7. Credit Check
The following forms of proof of place of residence are accepted:
- Energy provider bill – with your residential address mentioned for supply etc.
- Bank letter confirming your residential address
- UK Driving license
- Mortgage statement
- Certificate of voter registration
- Correspondence between you and a government authority regarding the receipt of benefits such as a pension, unemployment benefits, housing benefits, etc.
- Gas bill
- Electricity bill
- Water bill
- Cable company bill
- Landline telephone bill
- Doctors letter
