If a landlord evicts tenants under the new provision for selling a property, they will be prohibited from re-letting it for 12 months. However, if tenants vacate voluntarily and the sale falls through, the landlord is free to re-list the property for rent at any time. This regulation aims to prevent landlords from using the ‚ intended sale ground as a pretext for eviction while still allowing them flexibility in cases where an expected sale does not materialize.
