How much should a RICS valuation cost?

An RICS is a professional property valuation carried out in accordance with RICS guidelines. Thus it is more accurate than a valuation from Zoopla, for example. The cost of an RICS property valuation will be determined by the size of the property, its location, and how much it is worth. Expect to pay upwards of £450, although it is worth contacting a few surveyors as prices will vary within the same area, depending on how busy a surveyor is. You may be able to obtain a free RICS valuation if this is covered by your mortgage lender as part of their special offer.
