What can I provide as a proof of address?

When completing the referencing as a tenant, you are asked to send us over a proof of address. This has to be a separate document to your bank statements which you are already sending to us. We have written out some examples below.

The following forms of proof residency are accepted:

  • Utility bill (Gas / Electric) – with your residential address mentioned for supply etc.
  • A letter from your bank confirming your residential address (different to your bank statement)
  • UK Driving license (must have been issued within 3 months of tenancy start date)
  • Mortgage statement
  • Doctors Letter
  • NHS Letter
  • HMRC Letter
  • Council Tax Letter
  • Pension Letter
  • Insurance Letter
  • Certificate of voter registration
  • Correspondence between you and a government authority regarding the receipt of benefits such as a pension, unemployment benefits, housing benefits, etc.
  • Cable company bill
  • Landline telephone bill

Please note: This needs to be an official document displaying your name, address and an issue date within 3 months from the tenancy start date.
