What the Owners say…
The delights of Flat 13 Beckett House;
A great start to the day is to nip round the corner to Au Pain du Papy and collect fresh croissants and then breakfast on the balcony listening to the birdsong, with an uninterrupted view of the park and some of the oldest trees in London. Very calming. It is such a plus that the flat is so quiet (and the neighbours lovely).
Then the location is perfect for getting about, the best transport links to anywhere in London or just walk a few minutes to catch Eurostar at St Pancras. The day trip to Paris could not be simpler.
No need to fight your way through massed bands of bewildered tourists, yet you are only a short walk away from world class opera (Royal Opera House), West End theatre, and as a retired museum professional I love the range and diversity of nearby Museums (e.g. the British Museum, the Foundling Museum, or the Wellcome Collection). There are endless opportunities for study (this is an academic quarter); I had a life enhancing time as a mature student at Birkbeck.
Ten minutes stroll finds you at the Curzon cinema in the Brunswick Centre which provides most local shopping needs. My favourite lunch is Noble Rot in Lambs Conduit Street, or Ciao Bella if with children. And health wise, fabulous GPs are just across the park and our local hospital is the famous and superb UCLH.
Finally, when you wind down at night you can bank on a peaceful night’s sleep.
